Our connection is fast enough to handle almost anything you can throw at it, but if you're connected by WiFi, there may be a couple of things slowing you down:
For example, a wall made of wood or plasterboard will block between 5% to 30% of WiFi signals passing into the next room. A wall made of concrete, metal, ceramic tile or brick will block 30% to 90% of your speed.
If the router is close to equipment that gives off a signal, like a TV or a microwave, then this can also disrupt your connection.
Our advice for placing your router:
- Centrally in the room and/or home.
- On an elevated, open, and flat surface.
- In an area with the most footfall/activity.
